Living Stones International is a Marriage, Family and Education ministry. As “The
Healing Technicians” we are strong advocates for fathers' and mothers' involvement in the household with
children. According to a U.S. Census Bureau report, over 25 million children live apart from their biological fathers.
That is 1 out of every 3 (34.5%) children in America. Nearly 2 in 3 (65%) African American children live in father-absent
homes. Nearly 4 in 10 (36%) Hispanic children, and nearly 3 in 10 (27%) white children live in father-absent homes.
Children in father-absent homes are five times more likely to be poor. In 2002, 7.8
percent of children in married-couple families were living in poverty, compared to 38.4 percent of children in female-householder
families. A child with a nonresident father is 54 percent more likely to be poorer than his or her father.
Living Stones
is active and on the front line mentoring dads in a program called Dad University (DAD U) facilitated with The
Pregnancy Help and Information Center. Dad University is a 5 week mentoring program facilitated by volunteer Dads
to new and existing fathers on the importance of being active and investing in the lives of their children.
As a Pastor, father, and grandparent, I
need your financial support to prepare the vineyard for a harvest of Dads that are committed emotionally, financially
and spiritually to their children.
